Roe Vs Wade - 2011
January the 22nd is the 38th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade when the Supreme
Court legalized abortion at any stage. Today 4400 babies are killed each day by
abortion. That is one million six hundred and six thousand each year (1,606,000)
!
In the message from Our Holy Father, he says: “As you, your Bishops and
great numbers of the faithful from throughout the United States gather at the
National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception to pray for an end the tragedy of
abortion in your country, I assure you of my spiritual closeness and my sharing
in your concern for the continuing holocaust of innocent human lives. This
anniversary of the decision which effectively legalized abortion on demand in
the United States is a call to people of good will to reflect seriously on the
devastating consequences of that step. Now is the time for recommitment to the
building of a culture of absolute respect for life from conception to natural
death.”
You can join the National Mass For Life from the Basilica of the
Immaculate Conception, Washington D.C. on Sunday January 23, 2011 at 7 p.m.
(LIVE) over the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN).
Then on Monday,
January 24th at 10 a.m. EWTN brings you LIVE and complete coverage of the most
important pro-life event of the year, the annual March for Life.
You’ll
be apart of it all, from interviews with participants from across the U.S.,
including preeminent, pro-life speakers. Then follow the March for Life
procession up Constitution Avenue, and join the Rally for Life at the Washington
Monument.
