2010 St. Cletus Parish Mission
"Come and See"
February 8-10th

Why Should I Go?
We all need to do something just for ourselves. We get shots to prevent sickness and disease; we take vacations from daily stress. A parish mission has much the same motivation. We commit ourselves to renewal so that we can be refreshed with God's word and God's love to better approach our daily lives. Especially as we approach the season of Lent, it is a time for reflection and repentance.

Monday, February 8th
8 a.m. Mass celebrated by Fr. Dennis Koopman, O.F.M.
7 p.m. Mission Service with Benediction, Hospitality will follow

Come and Live in the Embrace of God's Love

In the face of violence and injustice it is indeed tempting to abandon our belief in a God of Love. We proclaim that God does indeed hold us in a loving embrace, giving us both the strength to carry on and the ability to reach out to all those in need.

Come and Know Forgiveness as a Path to Peace

In a world that often seeks to resolve conflict through retaliation, punishment and violence, we proclaim a God who is merciful and always seeks to forgive. In accepting His gift of mercy for ourselves, we are then called to be peacemakers by forgiving those who have wronged us. At the same time we must wrestle with he truth that real peace and reconciliation cannot come about without justice.
