Preschool Newsletter – November 10, 2017

Upcoming Events:

  • Monday, November 13th – Veteran’s Day Mass/Hot lunch (McDonald’s)
  • Wednesday, November 15th – Hot lunch/Little Joe’s
  • Thursday, November 16th – End of Trimester 1
  • Sunday, November 19th – St. Cletus Book Fair
  • Tuesday, November 21st – Early Dismissal at 11:30 am followed by Parent-Teacher Conferences
  • Wednesday, November 22-24: NO SCHOOL

This week we learned all about the letter I.

Our letter I story of the week was called Iguana on Ice. We also read both fiction and non-fiction books on how to stay healthy.

The new letter “I” words that we learned were iguana, ice, igloo, instruments, ice cream and insect. We have one friend in our classroom whose name begins with the letter “I”- ISABELLA.

Our theme this week was about Healthy Bodies. We learned about  different ways to stay healthy. Some examples include: washing your hands, catching your sneeze our cough in your arm, eating fruits and vegetables, and exercising.

Centers included:

  • Washing fruits and vegetables
  • Smartboard and computer activities
  • Letter I pictures
  • Handwriting book-Letter I
  • Healthy body craft
  • Playdough
  • Healthy foods paper plate
  • Germ craft
  • Exercise activity
  • Discussed hygiene
