Preschool Newsletter – October 6, 2017

This week in Preschool we learned about fall. Throughout the week we read many stories about fall and how the leaves change colors. We even went outside to collect leaves and identify signs of fall around our school. Our letter of the week was letter E. We practice writing the letter and identifying what sound the letter makes.

Our centers included:

  • E is for Elephant
  • Leaf man people
  • Leaf painting
  • Graphing our favorite color leaf
  • Fall roll and cover math game
  • Handwriting journals
  • Religion “I Love God & God Loves Me”

Next week our theme will be scarecrows and the letter of the week is F. Throughout the week we will read various books on fall and scarecrows. In centers we will create scarecrow art project and practice writing the letter F. Please continue to encourage your child to practice writing their name and identifying upper-case letters.  Thanks for all your help! – Preschool team
