Sports Programs
St. Cletus competes in the Suburban Parochial League. Our teams are coached by qualified volunteers who teach the fundamentals of the sports as well as teamwork and sportsmanship.
The St. Cletus Athletic Association funds and provides the following programs for St. Cletus students:
Basketball (Boys and Girls) and Volleyball (Girls)
Grade 5 basketball and volleyball teams are instructional in nature to teach the players the fundamentals needed for the competitive grades 6-8.
Grades 6 through 8 basketball and volleyball, will field one “A” Team and up to two “B” teams depending on class size and student interest.
Tackle Football (Boys) and Cheerleading (Girls)
Football fields both Varsity (Grades 7-8) and Jr. Varsity (Grades 5-6) teams, and play an “A” game and a “B” game to ensure playing time for all players. We have Jr Varsity (Grade 7) and Varsity (Grade 8) Cheerleading squads.
Cross Country and Track & Field (Boys and Girls)
Grades 5-8 can participate in Cross-country in the Fall and Track & Field in the Spring. All children will participate in meets.
Intramural Soccer (Grades K-4)
We offer Intramural soccer for boys and girls in both Fall and Spring. Soccer is divided into 3 levels ( K, Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4 ) and is held in the field in the back of the church building.
