St. Cletus?
- PowerPoint presentations and multimedia projected using LCD projectors.
- Various databases including parishioner tracking, religious education,
youth, manna, school families, facility scheduling, Eucharistic minister
scheduling, school library catalog, and IT inventory.
- Fiber optics connect rectory and education building.
- Voice Over IP (VoIP) phone system.
- Voicemail for all employees.
- Servers store user files for efficient central management and backup.
- Each employee is issued an email address for internal and external
communications.
- Students learn skills such as word processing, research, Internet safety,
spreadsheets, presentations, and proper typing.
- Over 100 PCs campus-wide.
Recent Accomplishments
- 4 interactive white boards from SMART Technologies in school classrooms
- Internet download speed upgraded to 6.0 mbps plus dual WAN load balancing
between T1 and business class cable. Dual WAN offers instant failover
protection in the event one connection should fail.
Future Technology Initiatives
- Wire remaining school classrooms.
- Upgrade residential wireless access points with business-class devices.
- Replace 5 year-old PCs in computer lab.
- Increase LAN speed to gigabit speeds.
- Conduct adult education program for both simple and advanced technologies.
