Parish To Honor Veterans
|

|
|
A special Mass honoring our military veterans is set for Saturday, July 4 at
8am. Bishop Thomas Paprocki will celebrate the Mass with concelebrants Fr.
Bob, Fr. Charles, & Fr. Edgar, and Fr. Gallagher. Current and ex-service
men and women are encouraged to wear their uniform, insignia, or other
designation. Hospitality will follow the Mass. |

Take Me Out To The Ballgame
|
|
|
The Holy Name Society is getting a group together to attend a minor league
baseball game in Joliet's new downtown stadium on Sunday, July 26 when the
Jackhammers play the Kansas City T-Bones in a Northern League game that begins
at 5:05 p.m.
Tickets are $10 and ballpark food, beverages, and souvenir prices are much lower
than at one of Chicago's big league ballparks. Free parking in the lot between
Silver Cross Field and the old Joliet Central High School is available.
Parishioners can get discounted tickets at a group rate by phoning HNS chairman
Joe at (708) 354-3165, by July 10. |

About Saint Cletus
|
|
 |
St. Cletus is a Roman Catholic Church, part of the
Archdiocese of Chicago, located on a 10 acre campus in La Grange, IL about 20 miles west of
downtown Chicago. St. Cletus Parish
offers a school (3-pre to 8), religious education program, youth ministry, Hispanic ministry, numerous organizations, and 10 masses
weekly. Founded in 1951, St. Cletus has been served by five pastors
including Fr. Morrissey (1951-1971), Fr. Gallagher (1971-1990), Fr. Burke
(1990-1992), and Fr. Klees (1992-2006). Our current pastor, Fr.
Clark, began July 1, 2006.
Saint Cletus Church primarily serves the Chicago suburbs of LaGrange, LaGrange
Highlands, Burr Ridge, Willow Springs, Countryside, and Hodgkins, Illinois but have
parishioners from many other suburbs including Western Springs, Hinsdale,
Westchester,
Clarendon Hills, and other neighboring communities. |
